Drop-down questions are used in many surveys and display all answer
options in a drop-down menu with a scroll bar on the right.
To select an answer in a drop-down question, respondents click the desired
answer option, which will be highlighted in blue.
Best used when:
- When there are many answer choices
- Only one answer will be selected
Advantages:
- Conserves space
- Increases response rates
- Displays many answer options
Limitations:
- Yields only close-ended data
- No ranking or rating data
- Respondent chooses only one answer
