What it does- This survey question allows for the respondent to answer a series of questions with similar answer options in a grid format.

When to use: Implemented during survey design, this question type helps Survey Administrators who want to extract rating information, and when similar questions can be combined into one grid.

Advantages: This question type saves space on the survey by combining similar questions. Also, each answer has a corresponding weight so you can quantify respondents’ rating information.

Disadvantages: Survey questions of this type should not be used when trying to extract open-ended information, ranking information, or information from a multiple-choice question.
