Advanced Survey Design: Intelligent Looping
This advanced survey design feature allows the Survey Creator to ask a
series of questions multiple times and then aggregate the responses received
for these questions.
First, a question is asked that determines the number of times the
designated questions are displayed/repeated to the survey respondent.
For example, if a survey question asked “How many cars do you own?” and the
respondent answered “3”, Intelligent Looping would loop a series of
questions for each car. These questions could inquire as to what make,
model, and year the car is.
This is an efficient way to collect data from questions that are repeated
more than once in a survey and also conserves survey space. Intelligent
looping, like branching, is a form of “skip-logic”, and is one of many
advanced survey design features Zarca offers.
Apply Intelligent Looping
Below is a Looping Question as seen on the Participation Page.
The answer selected is shown as '2'.
Since the answer selected for the above looping question is '2',
the questions
seen below are repeated twice in the survey on consecutive pages.
