Survey Etiquette: Maximize Convenience to Survey Respondents
Being courteous and convenient to your survey participants will result in
increased goodwill and naturally, higher response rates to your surveys.
The survey mode used and in what form will the respondent complete the
survey is a major element of respondent convenience. This means having a
two-way survey relationship to knowing ensure whether your participants
prefer online, paper, or telephone surveys.
Also, the timing of a survey reminder or invite is another vital part of
making the survey process more convenient for participants. As previously
discussed, Survey Administrators should not send their invites during a
holiday or a busy time of the year.
A survey reminder should be sent from a few days to a week after the initial
invite. It’s important not to wait too long before reminding your audience
about the invite, because they may have forgotten about that first
invitation.
