Maximize Convenience to Survey Respondents
Opt-Out
Survey Etiquette and Trust: Opt-Out Notification
By having a way that prospective participants can choose not to take your
survey, you are engaging in survey best practices.
Not only is it thoughtful to leave the receivers of your invitation a way to
“opt-out” of taking the survey, it is now a convention for many online
services and is part of standard survey design.
In addition, you can also let them opt-out of any future survey invitations.
If you include the “opt-out” message, respondents will receive an email
invitation in which he or she has the option to select their opt-out status.
This option builds survey confidence in the individual and work to increase
their response rates for your surveys over time.
