Maximize Convenience to Survey Respondents
Personalized Surveys: Piping
Personalized Web Surveys: Piping
The Piping feature personalizes web surveys by taking the respondent’s
answer to a question and making it a part of subsequent questions.
Personalized surveys contribute to a stronger sense of survey confidence and
survey trust that form the basis for a healthy survey relationship.
By using Piping, questions in web surveys are personalized for the
respondent. Answers provided in single-select, multiple-select, or
open-ended text box questions are commonly used to pipe into the body of
subsequent questions.
Survey length and survey space are also conserved when Piping is used
because surveys can omit questions that ask for personal, or already-known
information.
Example:
Question 1, Page 1: What is your name?
Answer: Jane
Question 5, Page 3: Jane, what type of car do you drive?
